FAQ

Below you can find answers to commonly-asked questions. If you have a question which you cannot see below, you can contact us by emailing to hello@umrahly.com

What exactly does my Umrah guide help with?

From the beginning of your Umrah journey, an experienced guide will be with you every step of the way—offering continuous support, clear guidance, and valuable local insights. They’ll walk you through each of the main rituals, including Ihram, Tawaf, and Sa’i, explaining what to do, what to say, and when to do it. Whether it’s your first Umrah or you’re looking for a refresher, your guide ensures you’re never left unsure or alone.

Do I need to be part of a group package to use Umrahly, or can I travel solo?

You don’t need a group at all. Umrahly is built for solo travellers, families, or groups. You book your own flights and hotel—we connect you to a trusted guide who walks with you through the experience.

Will someone accompany me as a guide during Umrah?

Your guide will meet you in person and walk you through each step, ensuring your worship is done correctly and with peace of mind.

How much does it cost to book a guide?

Pricing varies depending on your guide and level of support. But you’ll always know upfront—no hidden fees or inflated package prices. It’s designed to be affordable and flexible for every type of traveller.

How much notice do I need before booking?

We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance. This gives your guide time to prepare and coordinate with you. Travelling soon? Don’t worry, contact us and we’ll try to accommodate anyway.

Are Umrahly guides male or female? Can I choose?

Currently, all Umrahly guides are male. This helps us maintain practical and religious guidelines when assisting individuals or mixed groups. While guide selection isn’t available at this stage, every guide is experienced, respectful, and committed to supporting your Umrah journey in line with Islamic values.

Can I speak to my guide before travelling?

Yes. Once booked, you’ll be introduced to your guide so you can ask questions, clarify the process, and feel fully prepared before your journey.

What happens if I get delayed or miss my guide?

We understand that travel plans can change. If you’re delayed, we’ll work with you and your guide to reschedule your session where possible. Communication is key.

Can I book a guide for specific rituals only, not the full Umrah?

Yes. You can request a guide just for Tawaf, Sa’i, or Ihram entry—whatever support you need. It’s flexible to suit your level of confidence.

What if I don’t speak Arabic—can my guide help?

Yes. All Umrahly guides speak English (and some speak other languages too). You’ll be able to communicate clearly throughout your journey. Umrahly will prioritise getting you a guide native to your country if english is not your first language.

Is Umrahly available in both Makkah and Madinah?

Yes. Umrahly guides are available in both Makkah and Madinah. Whether you’re starting your journey in either city, our guides are ready to support your pilgrimage.

Is Umrahly suitable for elderly or disabled travellers?

Yes. Many of our guides are experienced in assisting elderly pilgrims and those with mobility needs. Just mention this when booking so we can assign the right guide.

Can I request Ziyarah or help with transportation?

At the moment, Umrahly focuses on guiding your Umrah rituals. However, we’re working on expanding to include trusted partners for Ziyarah and transport soon.
